Lens fitting guide
A clear, procedural walkthrough of fitting Clearlii lenses—for eye-care professionals and confident wearers alike. Always confirm your fit with a qualified optician.
Four stages to a confident fit
Measurement
Begin with keratometry and a refraction check to determine base curve, diameter and prescription. Accurate measurements are the foundation of a comfortable, stable fit.
Trial lens insertion
Select the appropriate trial lens, then insert it cleanly with washed, dry hands. Allow the lens to settle for at least 10–15 minutes before evaluating.
Evaluation
Assess centration, movement on blink and coverage at the slit lamp. Check vision and comfort, confirming the lens moves freely without excessive lag.
Adjustment
If centration or movement isn't ideal, adjust base curve or diameter and re-trial. Confirm the final fit and brief the wearer on insertion, removal and care.
Know the key zones
A good fit balances three parameters. Hover the markers to see where each one matters on the eye.
- Base curve (8.5) — matches the cornea's curvature for stable centration.
- Diameter (14.2) — ensures full, comfortable corneal coverage.
- Silk & Soft Edge — minimises lid friction for irritation-free wear.
